Leandro

Chief Vision OfficerBarcelona

The architect of Siculish's philosophy. In San Diego, Leandro heard "Karmati" and suddenly saw a whole universe of language hidden in plain sight, a living map of how Sicilian immigrants reinvented their words to survive.

Roberto digs for the stories hidden within Siculish, the real stories behind every word. He listens to elders, follows each phrase back to its kitchen, its street and its family, and keeps the memory alive.

Our Story

Spoken in USA — and beyond
Parrata ntâ Mèrica e a autri banni

Between 1880 and 1924, over four million Sicilians crossed the Atlantic and adapted to sounds their mouths had never made: Brooklyn became Brucculinu, the boss u Bossu, each new word a small act of survival.

This was Siculish — a hybrid language never written down, passed mouth to mouth through tenement kitchens and docks. First named in 2005, a century after it began, yet still alive in the voices of grandparents.

The brand was born in March 2026, in San Diego, to give this language the monument it deserves before the last speakers are gone and their words are lost for good.

A phone call. A Sicilian friend, running late, said "calmati" — and Leandro heard "Karmati." Two languages collided into something new, unmistakably Siculish. One conversation with Roberto later, Siculish was born.
